I noticed this too, but I kind of like it because It let's us add more apps without having to scroll up and down to see them. It holds more now. Maybe there should be an option to show or hide names.
Names didn't bother me, but if I had a choice I'd have them off. I hope this isn't a bug they correct and add names back without giving us an option to turn them off. I can understand some wanting names so if it has to be one or the other I guess with names would be better.
