I've got the same issue. Having to unlock the phone constantly. Extended lock looks the same as your screenshot. Hope they bring that back.
Created a new mode in Modes and Routines that I called connected devices. Set it up to trigger automatically when connected to my car or Samsung watches, setting it to keep phone unlocked.
Works. As soon as I saved it, the mode activated and phone is unlocked. Will lock after 4 hours or when all devices are disconnected which is the same as extended lock.
If they have permanently removed this feature from extended lock, they should add a mode as part of the preset modes.
