So I recently got the Galaxy watch 5. And I was connecting it to my phone and because I was on the beta program I was unable to connect Google Assistant to the watch just would not load up. Also today unless I was on Wi-Fi I was not able to send or receive calls or text messages. Which is the reason why I withdrew from the beta program.
I did not have a problem with my S22U and GW5. Maybe you had the assistant set up using a different Google account. My wife had that problem when setting up hey S21U and GW4 Google assistant because the phone default was s different Google account. Just had to make sure they were the same account
