Google Chat Messages

 Is anyone getting the setting up verify number message? I'm stuck there. At 1st it stopped working and when I reset the app and then rebooted the phone it's stuck on setting up now and I have no more chat features..

Open up Samsung Messages and turn on Advanced Message/Chat whatever it's called by your carrier. Once it connects wait a few minutes then turn it off.

Force stop both Google Messages and Carrier Services. Clear cache and Clear data.

Remove Sim card from phone and shut it off

Leave phone off for 30 minutes

Put Sim card back in phone then turn phone back on

Wait 10-15 mins and then open up Google messages and check chat features it should be connected now.

And this should fix it? It was working perfectly until I updated to the Beta android 13 UI 5.0

It should. It may not since this is a beta, but that's been the standard fix for the verifying issue on Reddit.

Google Messages says I am connected for Chat/RCS but in actuality i can't send or receive in chat mode but I can send and receive in sms and mms.

That's what happened to me when I 1st updated to 13 5.0. That's when I used the troubleshooting methods and wiped the data from the app. It came back as not compatible it's not compatible. Then I rebooted and now I'm stuck on verifying

I can't confirm this one as I don't use Google Messages

This is happening to me as well. I've done all the usual fixes as well with no avail. I'm dual simmed physical sim to TMobile and ESim to Verizon. Was working perfectly before beta install now stuck on verifying.

Same here chat feature stuck on settings up error. Anyone able to figure it out?

OK I found a fix.. Go into connections then SIM card manager disable your SIM card for 10 seconds with Wi-Fi off and then turn it back on and then you should be back in business..
