Google Play Store Update error

I cannot as well. I was able to update to September, but not October.

I've been able to update since the September one came out but for some reason I keep getting this error message since the beta 9 update

I just got this message when checking in play store for update. Hopefully it actually does update. Ive been stuck on a June or July update

For clarification, play system not Play Store. Play Store is updated 🤔

I would say submit a bug report. Mine says it is up to date when I try to check for new updates.
