If The Beta Has Ended Why Are We Still Stuck With It?

Oh so the Watch 4 users are still being held in prison?  Beta is over and there is no stable release for us?  Seriously?  Can someone help us break out of prison?

I think it would be fair to say that Samsung probably has more Watch5 users than Watch4 users by now.  This is simply because Watch5 is more recent than Watch4. So, it might be just a loyalty thing. Just be glad we are Watch4 users and not Watch3 users. Otherwise, it would be a much longer wait!šŸ˜ƒ

Samsung is no doubt throttling to avoid overwhelming their servers.  There are a lot of Megabytes involved in each update.  Some Watch4 users have apparently managed to update though.  So, we just need to be a little more patient, and hang in there for a bit longer (you can bet your bippy that I'll be changing my tune if we are "still hanging in there" at this time next week, though!)

It really has made for an interesting, and different summer activity, hasn't it.

Cobra, it's still pretty dismal for us LTE people. I've heard a few spotty reports of LTE updates (mostly media reports of activity in Europe).  A beta participant in another thread and I were having a conversation in this forum regarding supposed additional work on the part of Samsung regarding LTE software, but as I pointed out to him, LTE users were invited into the beta except for Verizon, who customizes their software as Samsung allows the carrier to do.  Since we LTE users (plain vanilla) were allowed to participate, Samsung should have had the stable release available for all participants at the release of the stable update. If they needed more time for LTE software, they would have known it, and should have been up front and told us so, rather than leave us dangling in the breeze. This was not their 1st OS software update rodeo.

Hopefully, we may see it next week.

Nitrate, did you get it via auto-updaye or manual update, and is your Watch5 BT or LTE?

Glad you got it.

Thanks for the reply Nitrate. I have seen commentary by users in other venues that BT devices historically access update services before LTE devices. A lot of us have GW4s of both flavors, and I have been aware of BT GW4s and GW5s getting the update, but no confirmation of LTE GW4s or GW5s though.  So we'll  just have try to be aware of the type of device BT or LTE as that may affect update priority. That BT vs LTE update priority goes back to GW3. I like LTE models as they provide additional us flexibility. I've never signed up for an esimm, but if and when I do it will be nice to not have to drag around my cell phone every now and then. But, Samsung may assign different update priorities to them.
