Is 5G Icon Correct?

The icon at the top of my phone shows 5G. But, when checked with the Speed Test app the results are reported as LTE.

After I install the Google Carrier Services app, Speed Test reports the results as 5G and the icon on my phone is 5G.

Since I installed beta, my 5G speeds are very slow. So I deleted the Google Carrier Services app.

So... what's up with the differing signal indicators and the slow 5G speeds?

I flashed the unlocked firmware on my S21 ultra from t-mobile.... Wanted to get rid of all the t-mobile **bleep**

If any of you are technical enough to understand the information in there there's a dialer code to see exactly what kind of 5G you're using. *#0011# and click the SIM information to see all the juicy things. It'll probably explain. Google can help some.

I had this same issue with my new UC being very slow in all apps except the speed test. Here's the easy fix.

Go into device settings. Then connections. Then SIM card manager. Turn off your active SIM and wait about 10 seconds. Turn that SIM back on.


Now your device should actually pull those speed test speeds in all your apps.
