Lagging - Home screen apps disappear for a few sec

When using swipe gesture to go to home screen, sometimes the apps will disappear for 2-3sec and then show up. 

I'm also seeing general lag when going to news page from home screen and to apps using gesture swipe.

I second this. Same issue. Solution I've found is in developer options, reducing all animation scales to 0.5x

I already have them set to 0.5x
I'll try changing it to 1 and back to 0.5 to see if changing it triggers the fix

Same issues here. Also, for some reason when I swipe for recently opened apps, the window shakes like its breaking for a second and then it works fine.
