Just in case someone else is having this problem, the microphone indicator green dot is always on even that all the apps are closed. The only way it goes away is turning off the Mic Access in Privacy, but the mic won't work on the apps.
while you are welcome to disable mic access, it does cause inconvenience when using any apps that need a mic. Better option would be to go to settings -> privacy -> Permission Manager -> microphone and disable apps that you don't want to provide mic permission to or enable "only while using the app" for each app that you are interested in using.
