Phone blocking certain numbers?

So apparently my best friend can't call me or send me texts because on his end it's "blocked" but when I call him it's not or when I send him a text it's not either and also he's not blocked obviously so I'm not sure what or why but only him so I just need to know how to fix this because he's not blocked but on my missed calls it says he's blocked but he's not????

Maybe blocked you by mistake. If not check with your carriers cause normally someone has to block someone to have this issue

It's odd because my note 20 ultra never done this before and it's just very weird because his number is not on the block list at all but shows blocked my phone???

Did you try clearing cache partition?

We recommend reaching out to you carrier for the issue if your friend is not blocked on the device. 

Some carriers are able to provide a dialer code that when typed along with block number to unblock the device.
