Samsung Keyboard error

The keyboard has a wonky error. Ex:

I use the Samsung keyboard to text a friend. 

The last word in my sentence is dont. 

I elect to not use the suggestion to change it to "don't". 

I send the message before the keyboard gets the chance to autocorrect (because I never hit the space bar, which triggers common autocorrections.

I then go into Chrome to Google anything.

No matter what I type, my first word will be autocorrected to "don't" because the keyboard was still waiting for a space to trigger the autocorrection. 

This is an extremely annoying problem.

(phone) Settings
Apps
choose the Keyboard app
Tap Force Stop
then tap Storage
tap Clear Cache
... try again

EDIT -NOTE:
I mistakenly typed "phone", when I meant to type "keyboard"

This actually happens to me all the time...I also get a lingering "g" after autocorrect happens on an "ing" word.
