Samsung galaxy watch disconnect

My samsung galaxy watch seems to disconnect randomly after the update. There is also no notification when this happens.

I posted this a while ago as an error report and this was the response. They said it wasn't compatible with Android 12 yet.

Strange response. Not sure what the app has to do with random disconnects.

Mine (Watch 3) of course disconnects when the phone freezes / reboots ... obviously it can't connect during that sequence

However, once the phone "settles", the watch reconnects
