Despite some bugs, lags, etc I am really enjoying all the new features of this build. 

Off the top of my head, I'll list a few things! By no means is this a comprehensive list, just jotting down some as they come into my coffee-addled brain 😀

Wallpapers/theme color picker

Love it!!

New calendar interface 

Much better looking, easier to navigate, additional stickers a fun plus! 

New ring tones/notification sounds

Third-party icons!!!

Better integration of dark mode

New animations 

Samsung Keyboard improvements 

Better security features 

Better network usage 

My 5g actually works in my basement apartment now 

I'm sure I can think of some more good stuff.

I don't know why the people talk about Gboard...the Samsung Keyboard has great features, looks way better and better customizations in my opinion.

I agree! I like gboard well enough and often switch between the two. However, GBOARD was making my phone hot during this beta so I uninstalled it along with Google Messages. Both were heating up my phone.
