factory reset with beta?

installing errors on top of errors seems to not work really well sometimes. I am wondering if a factory reset with the beta in place would help with any of the issues... kind of "shaking the rug" so to speak.
it would be nice if Samsung could speak to this option's effect on beta stability.
I don't mind trying the nuclear option, but it would be nice to know what one should expect or if it would work.

As long as you acknowledge that restoring your data may not work / have problems, I'd say go for it.

When One UI 1.0 first released, I had to factory reset my S9+ to stop the keyboard from closing every time I tried using it.

like the only problem I'm having right now is Wi-Fi, I would hate to swap that problem for the 20 other ones that everyone else is talking about. I don't mind waiting a bit, it would be nice if updates were kicked out every couple of days if possible just to catch some of the low hanging fruit, but that's not how things work. I'm not worried about backing up so much, I don't have anything on my phone that I can't lose or isn't already backed up.. I just worry about it not working or being worse.
...and after all of the goofing around with the beta and if you reset with the beta and it's still terrible, is it at some point possible just to get back to a factory phone like you had when you bought it?

Withdrawing from the beta program here is the first step. The second step is to connect your phone to a PC with Samsung Smart Switch installed to downgrade to One UI 3.

I am going through a factory reset right now. Data restored some cloud back just fine. Carrier hub messages still there after the the reset. Phone had randomly crashed/rebooted twice on me since the reset.

that doesn't sound promising, thanks for your feedback! I have an unlocked phone with a Verizon sim in it, and I am not getting the carrier message, is that an unlocked phone issue? are unlocked people not getting this message?

My phone is a locked S21U on Tmobile. So far the fresh reset has been rough and does not seem to make things better. Seems like they are a ways off from having a public release.

while you were typing that, I think I found the post about factory reset and copied some language on the question board.
