My screen went dark for almost 40 mins!! Repeat message system not responding. Tried to rest my phone multiple times and then I tried to shut the whole device down finally it did. I regret getting the beta

Definitely not typical experience on the beta. Best thing to do is reboot to recovery a do a cache wipe. Only cache though. Beta is pretty much over at this point though. Stable release coming very soon.

Next time it does this, hold volume down and power at the same time untill the phone reboots or turns off. If it reboots, power it down. If its already powered down, Hold volume up and power till you see the Samsung logo and let go of buttons. This will bring you to recovery mode. Use volume keys to navigate down to wipe/clear cache and press power. Then scroll down to fix apps and press power, then scroll to reboot system and press power. 🖖

Volume up is for recovery. Volume down will boot you to safe mode.

Only from a powered off state will it boot to safe mode. However, with it already powered on and if the device becomes unresponsive, holding power and volume down for a period of time will reboot or turn device off.
From a powered off state however, hold power to power on, once you see the samsung logo, release power and immediately press and hold volume down during the boot, this will boot safe mode. O.p. states the screen went blank and phone not responding, therefore hold the volume down and power to reboot from the powered on unresponsive state. 🖖

I told people that this beta is horrible and people keep saying that why we keep complaining knowing that this is what you get in beta wen you sign up for like leaves alone I paid 1,300 for phone that can't even get their software to run great even in beta apples beta is better and don't get me started just get it right Samsung please because this is unbelievable and believe me this is getting annoying these betas were never like this

What version of the Fold? Plus do you use any side loaded APKs?

Personally I would suggest the deletion of the cache but I would also factory reset my phone.

On my S10+ years ago on ATT I had a huge issue. It actually wouldn't go away until factory reset the device (not just deletion of settings)

Unfortunately betas don't run great for everyone, I didn't have much issues 23U. If you don't want to risk it don't do betas or revert, but I wouldn't consider this beta horrible, it's been the same as one UI 5 beta
