I downloaded beta 3 today once I download a beta anytime I like to do a factory reset to start in fresh I did this and tried to restore my backup from One ui7 beta 3 that I did right before resetting and it will not restore my text messages it just keeps failing anyone else I'm in this issue
I never do a factory reset during the beta program. Never felt the need. Clearing cache partition, yes. So far, beta 3 has been so far, very stable, and I use my phone as a daily driver. Which message app are you using? The Samsung or the Google?
I factory reset on beta 2 and did a backup and I lost half my messages, even after doing a backup/restore. After you restore everything else, I restored messages by itself
Why would you rely on a cloud backup, stuff happens. It is always best to have a local backup, whether on your computer or an external drive of some kind.
