Why if I select DuckDuckGo as search engine Samsung internet continues with Google?

Have you done:

Quit Samsung Internet

Settings > Apps > Samsung Internet

Force Stop, lower right

Storage > Clear Cache

Storage > Clear Data
??

Okay, tested this (never use S. Internet, so starting with clean slate), and works fine here.

1st screenshot is setting

2nd screenshot shows the DuckDuck icon waiting ... I've tapped into the search bar, but haven't typed yet

I did everything you recommended but it didn't work....so disable Samsung Internet

Hello @SuperOvni ,

Click on the website text, it will switch to duckduck go search. By default you are considered browsing a website, when you click on website text it is considered a search and it should give results from duckduckgo.  Please note this only changes search engine not the home page.

Change you settings to this

Open Internet Browser then click Settings, Then Click Homepage then click Custom, Add that custom Url and you're good to go
