One UI Home screen has come a long way since it's inception. However, it still falls behind in features when compared to 3rd party launchers.
One of my favorite features that other launchers provide is swipe actions on icons on the home screen. This allows you to program additional functionality directly on the home screen.
For example, you can set a swipe up function and a swipe down function alongside the press to open the app.
An example would be the 'phone' app. Press it will launch the phone app, while swiping up may be programmed to launch the visual voicemail app. Swipe down may open contacts.
Another example I use often is folders. I will put the main app in it's category on the Home (like my primary banking app) but then use swipe up to open a folder containing all bankingf apps on my phone.
This would be a great addition to One UI. Until then it is hard to justify keeping it stock when better alternatives are available.

I would also like to second this request for swipeable gestures/actions on folders like seen in Nova Launcher. I have read a few other posts on Reddit as well looking for this exact feature, especially on foldable devices. Please accommodate this request! Thank you very much!
