Wasted space

I wish Samsung would reduce the space between the bottom row of app icons and the tray icons on the bottom. To me it just seems like a waste of space.

This has always annoyed me such a waste of space..i keep my search bar at the very bottom but that space just to she i lil house icon and dots is so unnecessary

First is my home screen, second is my folder screen.
