I'm using the auto restart on the device care app and last week on Friday it never restarted my phone I selected it to auto restart on Monday and Friday but nothing hasn't refreshed itself I ended up using it to optimize my A13 5G for a few months since it's on my phone should have been optimized I do know that if it was restarted automatically my notifications should have been deleted so does it still work I never noticed it restarting itself and if anyone else doesn't know I set it up as timed restart at 4:00 AM
I believe it won't auto restart if the phone is in use at the time you set. I think it has to detect a window of non-use before it will restart to insure it does not interrupt something. Like if you set it to restart at 1 p.m. and you get a phone call at 12:50 and are still on the call, the phone won't restart. It may or may not automatically restart after the call ends, but I think that also depends on time. If you end the call at 1:15, it may be outside the window. I noticed it does not automatically restart if the set time was missed. So, choose a time when you are not likely to be using the phone (4:00 a.m.?) I chose not to choose a time where I am sleeping, as that would make sense, but that is also when backups usually take place, and it won't restart during a backup. You can choose multiple days so in case one gets missed, it will catch the next one.
Also, if it did auto restart at any point, it would say "last restart xx days ago'' when you look at the auto optimization tab.
It works sometimes it happens super fast Luke all the sudden my phone shuts off and restarts , I think the notification history will say restarted or something too .... I mean I still do hard reset on mine every few days just to keep the oil circulating and what not. But yes the auto update does work mine is set late but I am up (stimulants) and have personally seen it do this several times . Trust the process hehehe
