Which texting app you using?  If you are using Google Messages you can go into the group chat, click on the 3 dots on top right and choose "group details".  You will see a list of everyone in the chat & their numbers.  You can click on each participant, and if they are not already in your contacts, you can add them.  Then you can go to your contact list and create a group by adding those people to the group.  From that point forward, if you want to send a text to that same group, you would just choose the group in contacts.  It's convoluted, but it would work.

Less convoluted, you can just keep the chat instead of deleting it, and when you want to revisit or send additional texts, you can just do it in the same group.  You can hard press on the group and pin it, so you can find it easily, or you can archive it, you won't see it all the time unless you go into the archive and reactivate it (or someone else reactivates it)
