A Series & Other MobileI have always connected my phone to my desktop and laptop, where it shows up in my file list. Now it does not show up, though it charges when I connect it. I want to see the 200 photos I took today and copy them all at once to my PC, like I always have done for years. Since this has just stopped working on the PC and laptop, the device in common is the phone. Has something changed to prevent my phone files from appearing on my PC when the phone is connected? How do I get this capability back?
On the desktop, I have Allow this PC to access your mobile devices ON. I have tried adding the phone device under Bluetooth and devices, Add a device, where it says "Make sure your device is turned on and is discoverable". It doesn't seem to be discoverable (except as far as charging goes). But it does list the Galaxy A54 5G under Manage Mobile Devices and Get New Notifications - receive new notifications to open or edit photos from this device is turned ON.

A Series & Other MobileNever mind. I finally remembered: when in doubt, restart. I restarted the phone and the Galaxy directory showed up right away in File Explorer.

A Series & Other MobileOn the Microsoft community, someone gave me settings to fix on my desktop, which now says to open File Explorer when I connect the phone. But my Windows devices are not seeing the phone. Then he said I should on the phone, set the USB connection settings to either File Transfer or MTP. Where would I do that?
I have Auto Blocker off under Security. I tried turning off "Block USB connections while locked". That made no difference. In the past, when the phone isn't on, it doesn't show when I have it attached via cable. I like that. When I turn on the phone, it pops up in File Explorer. Except not now. I even tried changing to my usual charging cable, that I know works. Made no difference.
