I followed the steps to enable lockdown mode and now it's available as an option in the power menu. I want the ability to configure the power button to activate lockdown mode. I want to be able to long press the power button and have it activate lockdown mode. There are not a lot of situations where someone might need lockdown but whatever it is, it isn't likely to wait for you to long press the power button, bring up the power menu and then select lockdown. Perhaps someone might be trying to take your phone from you and you want to activate lockdown. It would make much more sense to be able to simply long press the power button to activate lockdown mode. Since it's a system setting and not an app there's no option to do this. Not even Good Lock can help.
If someone is trying to take your phone from you, you are not going to have time to long press the power button anyway. If you have a lock on your phone, just tapping the button will lock it. If you have extend lock on and you are already on the lock screen, you can long press on the lock icon and it locks it right up. Although, if someone is trying to wrestle your phone away from you, you probably will not have time or presence of mind to do any of that.
