Messages in group messaging disappear

After a week or so my messagee within a group message start to disappear. I've looking in settings but cannot find a feature to turn this off. Help!!!!

Does thus happen on the "Messages" app? Or a another app such as WhatsApp?

Only on the "Messages" app.

It may be that your group has so many messages it starts to automatically erase the older ones.

On the Messages app, click the 3 dots on the right top corner>Settings>More Settings > At the bottom try to unselect the "Delete old messages" button and try to see if this fixes your issue.

It just happened in a new group chat. Not too many messages.

Then, maybe you should try using another SMS app like Google Messages to see if it works better.

I cannot find another setting that may fix your issue.

I have the "delete old messages" off. So it's gotta be something else. 😔

Have you taken this problem to your carrier? They are responsible for your messaging working properly.
