Fingerprint update 6.0.0.4

I received a notification on my note 20 that there is a security biometrics update available. I am suspicious of it because it has no publisher name and a blank shield logo. Is this legit or not?

Please note that it is a valid Samsung biometric update for your phone

Is anyone else experiencing battery drain issues? I installed it on a S20+ and when done then my battery is now draining so quick.

I am curious. how did it exactly help you a lot Astronaut?  I wonder that apparently some people consider this update legitimate. On what basis? Checking google and samsung app store there is no update left and there is also no samsung OTA security update pending on my phones, so where does it come from and how did you all validate that it is legitimate? If one does not care much about installing any app at least one should at spend a minute when it is about biometric app changes. If it is legitimate, samsung did itself and their customer not a great service pushing this through a cumbersome background process instead of the official software distribution channels.

The biometric update is pushed out via the Samsung server and it's not considered an Ota firmware update it's a patch
