US Variant unlocked bootloader phones

When I purchased this phone I was wanting an unlocked phone! It's listed as unlocked and it maybe carrier unlocked but I wanted a phone that i could unlock the bootloader so that I could root my phone! I feel I was ripped off! They say this bootloader on snapdragon isn't possible I don't believe that I'm sure there is a way to unlock it I paid for a phone that I could root my phone my choice please help

Nope. There is no bootloader unlock for the snapdragon version. Hasn't been for years.

A misunderstanding. Unlocked in Samsung sales means carrier-unlocked, not bootloader unlocked.

You know what happens when you assume "unlocked" meant the bootloader was unlocked.
