Galaxy Note PhonesDo this: erase all your fingerprints.... Then start fresh: use the same finger as many times as you can, moving the position/angle ever so slightly for your "fingerprint reading".... this way your phone has lots of readings for your fingerprint.
Also, go to settings/dislay... scroll to bottom and turn on "touch sensitivity". Good luck!

Galaxy Note Phones@userhQBymvLXs7 Have you tried wiping the device cache partition? Sometimes cached information can become corrupted during an OS update. Doing this does not delete any data nor settings from your phone.
To wipe the device cache partition:
- Turn off the device.
- Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby / Power key.
- When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
- An 'Installing system update' message may show briefly before the Android Recovery menu options appear.
- Press the Volume down key several times to highlight Wipe cache partition.
- Press Bixby / Power key to select.
- Press the Volume down key to highlight Yes, then press the Bixby / Power key to select.
- When the process is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
- Press the Bixby / Power key to restart the device.
