having a 6 year old device that's well beyond being supported by the manufacturer would, I imagine, have a number of issues. did you just purchase this phone? if you bought it used, there's no telling what condition it's in relative to prior use. if you bought it new back in the day, it's certainly served you well and it's time to move on to something newer, if you're able.
