Anybody know why after my Galaxy S10+ update when I attempt to type type a or a text, across the top of the keyboard used to be a microphone so I could do speech to text but it disappeared. How do I get it back? Not sure why the makers of these phones and or operating systems mess with people stuff like that. It's the reason why people don't take updates.

@kAt25YaY Assuming that you see the toolbar across the top of the keyboard? If so, click the 3 dots at the right end of that toolbar. You should see the microphone icon in the window below (you can scroll right/left to see other icons). Once you find it, long press on it and drag it up the toolbar and drop it into place.

There is no microphone icon. It's weird and I am very unhappy about this.

@kAt25YaY Maybe it is disabled. Try this:

  1. Open phone settings
  2. Click on General management
  3. Click on Samsung Keyboard settings
  4. Click on Voice input
  5. Enable Samsung voice input
