When trying to access the files in my S9, I get a message that the Security Policy Prevents Use of Computer Connection. I previously did not have any problem doing that and move or add files from my laptop with the same phone. Apparently, one of your security updates created this problem. Is there any way you can show me the steps to get around that and access the files on my phone?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello Hersel, Welcome to the Community. We understand the frustration of not being able to transfer files.

Do you have the Secure Folder active on your phone?

Are the files you are trying to transfer located in the Secure Folder or a different file path?

Do you have a work profile on the phone?

You can also try going to Settings -> "Biometrics and security" -> "Other security settings" -> "Device admin apps" you can see which apps may be blocking access to the files.

As a final step in troubleshooting, a factory reset is recommended. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062029/

If you continue to receive a security policy message after resetting the phone, it is recommended to have the phone evaluated. You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S. that can do the repair: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location or by contacting customer support at 1-800-726-7864.
