Clock Alarm Popup Closes Whatever App I'm In, and leaves me at Android home page

Let's say I'm using an app on my Samsung S21 Ultra such as composing a text message. When a Clock Alarm popup goes off, it kicks me out of the Messages app and back to my Android Home page. I need to then reopen the app that I was working in to resume my work. It's like the Samsung Clock alarm steals focus. Can anyone think of what might be causing this?

On my old Samsung Galaxy S9, before One UI5, when an alarm would go off, it would just appear as a pop-up notification at the top of my screen. It wouldn't kick me out of the app I was in. I could just tap Snooze or Dismiss on the pop-up. Now, those same pop ups still appear at the top of the screen, but when they appear, they kick me out of whatever app I'm in.

Does this problem happen to anyone else? It's still a problem for me.

yeeeesssssssssss!

bigger problems now are:

1. i have a sleep routine at 00:00. once it's time, the notification kicks me back to the home page as described above

2. anytime i launch the clock app after a long time, it goes off by itself. i will have to launch it again before it stays for me to use it

3. just recently, whenever i switch on a pre-set alarm, the app goes off immediately and displays the usual time left for the alarm to ring. if i need to put on more alarms, i will have switch on & launch the app again and again!

importantly, these issues started one after the other in the order i wrote them; this is really concerning!

Hopefully everyone keeps chiming in because this is still a problem for me after all these months too.

What Launcher are you using?

It's like when a clock alarm goes off, it doesn't respect the current app that should have focus.

I just installed all of the latest updates and still have this problem.  I use Microsoft Launcher and Samsung's Clock/Alarm app does not appear to play nice.

Still, every time an alarm goes off, it kicks me out of whatever app I'm in and back to the Launcher's Home Page.

@TechnoStud Does this happen while using other launchers, or the native One UI Home? I have been using Nova Launcher Pro for years without many issues besides the gesture notifications, and even that got solved fairly quickly. If it's a compatibility conflict between the launcher and phone, there isn't much that can be done beside reporting it to the developer and hoping there is an update in the near future.

Who is to say whether it's Microsoft's problem or Samsung's problem.  I suspect that their developers communicate with each other, so perhaps they can figure out who has the troublesome code.  Since notifications from all other apps work just fine in Microsoft Launcher, I feel like Samsung needs to look at what is going on with their Clock app.

@TechnoStud Have you tried contacting (by phone, chat, or e-mail) either company to see if you can find anything more out about the problem? Has this always happened or did it first occur after an update (system or app)?
