If your must double up on apps that android already supplies, they should be better than goodies orb they're simply wasting space . Samsung, you have exclusive features for your keyboard. Samsung, your keyboard is at the bottom of the pack. I'm using it now. Been using it only for the last week. It's so far behind. Auto correct duck's. Predictive socks. The keys harder to hit correctly. Yet you restrict phone functions if the customer uses a differed keyboard. That is bulk**bleep** yo Fircrest users to use an inferior app. Greatly inferior.

The keyboard is OK. The icons are probably not pleasing as Googles. And yes the predictive sucks, though I don't use it. Im pretty sure you can change the typing response time too in Settings.

I'll look and see. I actually really like the look of my custom keyboard that I made in key Cafe. I'm a slide texter though and it just duck's fit that. Tried to write sucks like 5 times skidding just now just won't do it. Along with many other words.

The problem is Google. Google FORCES manufacturers to install certain apps and make them uninstallable if they want the play store.
As far as functions being restricted. That's on Google and not Samsung. It's Google's OS and board and Google COULD modular their input API to allow control for things like stickers etc and not restricted to the keyboard level. Just download any and all keyboards on a Pixel device and you'll get the same results as you are getting here.

Last I remember Samsung keyboard is nothing more than a licensed SwiftKey board that Microsoft allows Samsung to modify.

Without looking to see, I'd be surprised if it were swiftkey. I use it predominately because I really like the arrow cursers. It's the only one I know of with that.
The complaint wasn't that they restrict, I get that, but if they are going to restrict key functions, like type to text with spen, for instance, then they should offer a product thst works as well as the already installed keyboard. They don't. That is subjective sure, but it's a commonly held opinion.

The default Samsung keyboard app has become so annoying to use. As a 10+ year Samsung user the past year or so the autocorrect feature has become so annoying that it replaces words that I spell correctly. The to tye, bit to but (and vice versa), etc.... Ive cleared the data and cache many times to no avail. I know I can turn off autocorrect but it is useful sometimes as for some reason it's also become super sensitive on where I tap on the letters. I've switched to Googles Gboard app and so far I've found it to be superior.
