Processor speed on a S22

So I've enjoyed my S22 for about 9 months now. It's a great phone and handles everything I need very well. However, it never truly felt as snappy and quick as I thought it was supposed to with this SD8G1 processor. I thought I recalled reading/seeing an option to change processor speed somewhere, but after a couple failed casual attempts to locate it I simply continued about my business..... until a few days ago. I accidentally stumbled across the processor speed option and noticed I was on Optimized. I changed it to Fast and I feel like I just leveled up 5x. I am definitely operating on an entirely different level and totally loving every second of it. I wish I could rewind the clock nine months and start over from day one with this setting. Unfortunately, I'm a knucklehead.

I agree but have not even thought to change the processor speed thanks for the tip how did you find it

Settings - Battery and Device Care - tap Battery - More Battery Settings - Processing Speed

I changed my processing speed too. It's awesome but it does take a slight toll on my battery

Yep. I agree. It is slight, but well worth it.

Might change back to optimize just to see if the battery life is different

You won't be able to tell unless you go through a few battery cycles.

How is the heat though? My guess is that in summertime your device is going to get hot very quickly outside

That was my initial thought also. But so far I haven't felt any difference in my hand in regard to temperature.
