Always on display can't be manually adjusted after new update

I am unable to manually adjust the brightness for AOD after the new update and it's driving me insane. I leave my notification sounds off and this was the most important feature on the phone for me, but is now rendered useless. I hate iPhone and have been a Galaxy android advocate since the beginning, but may be forced to switch after this.

Np, hope you figure it out, it took a while the only thing still not working properly are the notification icons
