i have an s23 ultra and have had samesung phones as far back as the s4. I have always perfered to use samsung messages bec A that's what I'm used to and B google messages just feels corny to me. but lately on my messages app sometimes my message doesn't get to the other person and my texts never say delivered or read anymore when I triple checked my settings and still nothing. and I know it's not my phone or service bec I had no choice but to use cringe google for now. can anyone direct me to what the problem could be? I even reset my network and my phone etc etc.

As far as I know Samsung messages are still working it's just the fold 6 onward where they will not be a option if they stop all together to work I haven't heard but you may want to clear the messages cache in settings than app than Samsung messages than storage

I think Samsung is moving toward using Google messages instead of their own.

Samsung has announced they are moving away from Samsung Messages and you will need Google Messages for RCS and will be the default messaging app on their devices

They did not say they were moving away from Samsung Messages they just said it's not going to be pre-installed on future devices having 2 messaging apps is confusing to people and the fact that certain carriers like AT&T and TMobile for instance will only allow RCS Messaging via Google Messages I use Samsung Messages (I absolutely hate Google Message) and I have RCS Messaging

You have RCS messaging for now. But yes Samsung is going to be dropping their messaging app and eventually you won't get RCS through the Samsung Messaging

I cannot figure out where to look so that I do not have a rotating screen I do not like for my screen to change its position but I don't know where to look to control it. Would appreciate any guidance.
