Never mind I misread your phone, you have a regular S23? Or S23 Plus or S23 Ultra? Because only the regular S23 would charge at a maximum of 25 watts if you have the plus or the Ultra you need the 45 watt charger for it to be super fast charging. A lot of people are complaining about what their phones are saying when charging since the beta but I can assure you that no matter what your phone is saying whether it's super fast or fast charging, you're charging speed is the same it's just words, it doesn't mean now your phone's charging slower. If you're using Samsung's 25w charger Then you are getting 25 watt charging which is fast charging. The super fast charging 2.0 is reserved for 45 watt.

You also need a 3.2 cable to go along with that 45w charger!

Any 5a minimum rated cable technically works, I've long since switched to a 10ft long 6a rated and shielded cable with a nice braided exterior and supports at each end to protect from extreme bends. I can't do the tiny 2ft OEM cables that come with the phone, I can walk around and reach everything I need in my bedroom with this 10 footer lol I have 2 since I have 2 45w chargers. Longer cables are a godsend. But yes, you are absolutely correct that the 45w brick needs to be at least rated for a consistent 5a for use and for safety! Thankfully, most aftermarket mfg's on like Amazon selling the 45w charger include some sort of cable that is safe to use, but not all of them! If they don't specify it then I wouldn't trust it. I always buy the charger and cable separately as I've found my favorite cable supplier and their ratings are spot on.

I have an S22 Ultra and I have both the Samsung 25 w charger and 45 w charger and when I plug the 25 watt charger in it says fast charging which is correct, when I plug in the 45 w charger it says super fast charging 2.0 which is correct so it just corrected what was actually wrong on your phone. If you just have a regular S23 you don't have super fast charging you only have fast charging capability at 25 watts maximum. The S23 Plus or S23 Ultra are capable of 45 w charging which would be the super fast charging 2.0
Hope this makes sense

thank you all for helping me. my phone  is  the regular s23 and please  be informed that it showed superfast with 25w before. 45w is superfast 2 right?

what about A34 and A54? why those phones just show fast charging instead of superfast?

something is really weird and wrong with the new updates and phones.

They've updated the naming for charging, 25w is not super fast it's just fast charging now, Samsung can't continue to call 25watts "super fast" when they have some of the slowest charging speeds in the phone world. I mean some others are pumping out over 120w for years now, saying 25w is super fast charging is not correct anymore. Even the S24 Ultra when it releases maxes out at 45w I don't understand why Samsung doesn't increase the speed a bit. We don't need 120w but 60w would be nice as my S22U still takes about a full hour to charge on the 45w while "the other guys" can get to 80% in 7 minutes or 100% in 13 minutes. 45w for a 1200-1500 dollar phone is unacceptable in 2024 when the S24U releases.
If I'm in a rush and phones almost dead I'll actually shut it off and charge it so I can get the most % before I have to leave my house. I also recently got a wireless charging phone mount for my car that managed to get Samsungs proprietary info and it will wireless 15w my phone instead of 5w or a max of 10w. Samsung doesn't even make a portable 15w wireless charger. Just the single desktop one. The fact they locked out 15w to anything else is very annoying, I'm thankful that I found something that actually can do the full 15w and wasn't an arm and a leg. Hopefully they up the speeds a bit after the 24 ultra, they have big batteries so 45w just isn't fast anymore. It wasn't even fast when the S22U introduced it. It was more like alright I guess that's acceptable. But 2024 still at 45w ? Nah that's crazy for your highest specced phone you make imo.
