Cannot send or receive calls/text messages from a relative in Mexico

I have sister that Lives In Mexico I have her in my contacts. But I cannot get phone calls from her or I cannot message to her in the message. She sends me don't come through

It's because normally you cannot send regular SMS messages without setting it up in your plan with your carrier first. Or if you use WhatsApp you can text and call free with data and internet.

Also, don't forget to add the country code before the number. For Mexico, you have to add +52 to your sister's number in the beginning.
