A Series & Other MobileI purchased an unlocked Galaxy A04S in France while on vacation. I used it for six weeks on an Orange Travel/Holiday SIM. Now that I'm back in the US, I'm having trouble getting it to work on a US SIM. My US provider says that it must be locked, but they have no other helpful information. An online IMEI checker tells me that it is not carrier locked -- "Carrier: Unlocked", but might be region locked. One said "Country:Europe" and one said "Lock Status:Europe Open".
I've found info that says that to unlock a Region Lock, all I have to do is use the phone for a 5-minute call on a SIM in the original region. I'm back in the US now, so that'll be hard. But the call history shows that I did indeed make a long-enough call while still in France, at 17+ minutes. Is there another way to confirm if the phone is or is not Region Locked?
Thanks.

A Series & Other MobileMy carrier (Ting) checked the IMEI number of the A04S and they say that it is compatible.
Does "Country:Europe" indicate that it is region-locked to Europe? Or just that it originated there?

A Series & Other MobileIt was https://imeicheck.com/imei-check that gave me the "Country:Europe" information.
And https://www.unlockboot.com/samsung-imei-checker is where I found "Carrier: Europe Open".
