My Samsung tv won't allow me to play age-restricted videos on YouTube. It was working and it just stopped.

Had the same issue and found an easy fix. Used to work and then randomly stopped working. My google account was missing the birth year. Go to your Gmail app-manage your Google account-personal info. Update your birthday, save it and it will work

Account on app may have a problem unless parental controls are set. If no account, add one to unlock it.

I checked app account and it is unrestricted. I have an account for YouTube and samsung with my age set up. I haven't had a problem till last week.

Ok. Account issues is what I know that will prevent age-restricted content from playing besides parental controls. Not sure if app was updated to impose the restrictions

Parental controls are off. I'm using an account. Still not working.
