My phone was sent to 3rd party repair, it was my first time using maintenance mode, the repair tech set up a password so that he can test the fingerprint sensor and forgot to give me the screen password.
I would like if there was a way to exit maintenance mode using master password or fingerprint if the screen was locked, as I was locked, unable to exit it until the next day when the service center answered.
Wow, that sounds like a real flaw in the maintenance mode feature, if a tech is able to set a new password and lock you out. Thank goodness you were able to contact them to get the password. On the downside, however, I am guessing the only way to bypass that would be to force your phone into recovery mode and factory reset it or erase it using Google find and then restore your backup. Which really does defeat the purpose of having a maintenance mode at all.
