Washers and Dryers

Hi all,

I’ve had my Samsung 5+ AddWash washing machine for over a year now, but recently we’ve noticed it making a new, fairly loud buzzing sound at intervals during the wash cycle.

If I pause the wash and restart the noise goes away.

We’re convinced this is a new noise, it’s quite annoying and noticeable so we don’t think we would have lived with it for over a year without noticing.

Before I book a repair, could someone tell me if this sounds familiar? I don’t want to waste anyones time.

I’ve taken a video, but don’t know how to upload it. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hi there! Thanks so much for asking about this. I definitely understand the concern with this new noise coming from your washer. There are actually a few different things that could be causing the sound you're hearing. I recommend looking over the information in the guide linked below to determine the cause of this noise. It also has some steps you can take depending on the sound, and it's cause. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01001985/

Once these steps are completed, if the washer is still making the sound, it will require service. There’s a couple options here we can take based on your warranty status.
If you’re in the one-year manufacturer’s warranty, please gather together the full model and serial number of your unit, and have ready your name, street address, 2 phone numbers (Best contact, alternative number), email, and place of purchase. Provide this information to an agent, in one of the following options below:
1.) Reach out to a Moderator directly, by selecting our name and the message option. When messaging please use a link to this thread in addition to the info above.
