Android Auto Starts without unlocking phone

Android auto isn't supposed to work without unlocking the phone first. My phone can be locked and I plug it in and Android auto works with the phone locked. Big security breach there. Anyone else that can confirm this?

I don't use android auto but is it possibly set to a remembered device or something

Where are you finding that setting. My android auto is under
Settings, advanced features. It's built in. Look no setting like that

Was your phone plugged into the car when you did that screen shot? Maybe the setting will show when im using AA?

Yeah. I know for a fact that I toggled the setting on at one point in my car. And I don't see it now, not in my car. But yeah, I've seen that setting before.

This is with the latest 6.9 Android auto. Was here in my house.
