DiscussionsHey Samiam_! Thanks for visiting the Community! Can you explain in a little more detail what you mean by keeping the screen on while viewing?

DiscussionsThis has been a samsung feature for years. I noticed it stopped working a few years ago. Screen has a timeout but as long as you are looking at the screen it stays on. If Samsung has done away with the feature, it still shows up as an option in the settings.

DiscussionsIt still works for me like it always has. I am on Android 16, OneUI8.0. Sometimes the front camera may not be able to read your eye movements if there is a bright light shining directly on the screen (including direct sunlight) or if you are in a dark room. Even a reflection in your glasses, if you wear them, can cause the camera not see your eyes. The feature is controlled by the front camera. You can somewhat alleviate this by downloading Good Lock and the display assistant. With display assistant you can set certain apps to keep the screen on for up to 10 minutes or add a shortcut to the quick panel to keep your screen on for 30 minutes at a time.
If you have not yet received the latest Google Play system update that removed the cache clearing from recovery mode, try clearing the cache partition.

DiscussionsIt may be an issue with the beta that needs to be reported. Assuming that by "tried everything" means that you have adjusted ambient lighting and that the front camera is unobstructed. In any case, the display assistant is very useful for things like the phone app to keep the screen from timing out when you need to navigate a voice prompt menu. It's not necessarily a separate app to take the place of a baked in setting, but in this case may help you if nothing else does.

DiscussionsI have never had an issue with the feature. I think originally there was some note in the tips section that the camera must be able to see your eye movement and can be affected by glasses or bright light (or no light). I do follow regular maintenance routines, such as keeping the screen clean and using the auto optimization scheduled restart feature.
