Ive been having issues with data dropping in and out. And today i now have no data connection whatsoever. Just curious to what the update was for since i had practically zero issues beforehand. Anyone know how to fix or remedy the issue?

This happened to me before I even got on to the betas it's happened since I got the phone it happens again on beta 1 and beta 2. I specifically have to toggle airplane mode on then off two times in a row and then also need to reboot the phone. Then if you're having problems with Wi-Fi and not just your mobile data I specifically have to disconnect from Wi-Fi and also do the same steps above

I'm getting the exact same thing as you. Ever since I got the s21 the data connection is bad. Had to restart the phone when it couldn't get data. Wifi is fine. I have factory reset two times and get new Sim card three times. Just limping along until the s22

Who's your carrier, or more specifically, who's network SIM is installed?

A couple thoughts come to mind

If you haven't, reboot to Maintenance screen (some call Recovery) and do a Wipe Cache Partition.

Next go to
(phone) Settings > Device Care
Diagnostics, tap on Data, and see what it reports.

The other thing would be
(phone) Settings > Connections
Mobile Network
Ensure Network Mode is set correctly (see screenshot)

tmobile samsung s21. icon on top says 5g. but i get no data. switch to 4g, same. open engineering mode, i see lte bands but no 5G nr, although the 5G icon is still showing. this is on known 5G covered area. mobile hotspot also will not pass data. this is a painful experience while i wait for a fix. went back to regular firmware, problem persist, i guess because device firmware had been updated and stayed the same and did not downgrade.
