Anybody else trying to create a Nova experience with One UI and it's just not working for them?

I use Nova and while it incorrperates One Ui features, I just can quite get it to act and look the way I want it to like the ease of using Nova.

1. App drawer-I prefer a vertical scroll vs Horizontal.

2. When I group apps on my home screen, I'd like to have a one Icon cover for the folder vs seeing multiple apps as the Icon.

3.I can't hide apps in the app drawer.

4.Only way to apply icon pack is by using Theme park.

5. Nova offers lots more animations. Entering and exiting, and scrolling than One UI.

Just to name some. Just wondering if it's just me or is this a standard One UI vs Nova norm.

I've had an experience with NOVA customer service and Im using the paid version. So now, I would like to ditch Nova and use ONE UI. But I've had Nova for so long, I can't seem to get into One UI like I'd like too.

Any suggestions on how to fix these or reccomendaion on another lunch that works really well With one UI?

Bugs with Nova Beta or One UI Beta? Sounds like Nova Beta and that is the issue you had with one of their reps?

I will agree that the Nova Team are not that nice, kind of have the air of we are the best, and we know it, don't bother us with your questions. A bit like the soup nazi on Seinfeld ...No support for you!
Don't know your situation, but I also have a hard time supporting a company that can be rude.
Hope it all works out for you.

I was talking about the Nova beta. I downloaded it a long while back and saw that it was still in early development, So I rolled back to Nova 7, and after a couple of months I was just curious if it was any closer to being stable and was met with the very attitude you just described!!! 😆

Oddly now I don't feel so bad, I thought it was a personal attack. Thank you for letting me know they are a bunch of arrogant narcissists!!

I guess long as they provide quaily products I'll use.

Thank you

Why do you say stuck with Nova? If you like it then you are not stuck. Is it battery life, or just having an overlay launcher that bothers you? That's the beauty of Android, change the launcher for what you like. To date, there isn't anything that beats Nova, but that's my preference.

I love Nova. And I agree 100% that it's the best launcher on the market that incorporates some One UI features.

But as I stated in my original post, I am a paid Nova user and I had a very unpleasant run-in with one of the Developers Customer Service reps, and as a paid user who have supported Nova for many years since switching from Go launcher years ago. I just feel like if they are going to treat their paid subscribers the way I was treated, then I can take my support elsewhere.

However, my issue is the familiarizing operation of my device daily using Nova, it's hard I'm just not wanting to learn a new launcher.

I joined the Beata thinking I could get used to it or at least customize it close enough to what I'm used to. But ONE UI itself just does not have the customizing power of Nova.

And I thought maybe I was just not underling the settings, but turns out, it's just ONE UI is an entity itself that'll I'll have to learn and get used to. That'd all.

So until I have the time to sit and dive into ONE UI, and relearn my phone again, I'm stuck with NOVA until then. That's what I mean.

I will NOT support any person, company, or anything that doesn't show respect to those who have contributed to theirs success even as just one person, a very small part out of millions of downloads. Again, I can take my support elsewhere.

Oneui home is genuinely awful in how limited it's featureset is. Borderline unusable imo. I've been using lawnchair launcher since the Nova buyout, it's got the core features I need from Nova and it's very lightweight.

They've actually got a beta test going that isn't on Google Play Store right now. Nova Launcher is working on an Android 13 version.

Stay with Nova.
Realize English isn't their first language. Sometimes rudeness isn't intentional.

Also consider they're a small team with thousands of people asking your exact same question. So much so that they made a header post inside their discord beta group, clearly asking people NOT to ask about final release and why.

When we think we are special, and can do what they've asked us not to do, we can't get mad when they respond with unsweetened lemonade. 😊

I go between Nova pro and One UI. I prefer Nova overall. I'm using the beta version and haven't encountered any issues. I'm glad to read here they are making an android 13 version. The Branch buyout makes me nervous but i opted out of giving them my data.
