I understand UI 4.0 will begin rolling out on Oct 24th.

Is that true? Still seems a bit early for a stable release since there's still a few bugs in the latest beta, but I could be wrong.

Oh interesting. I'm a bit confused on the site as well because they say there's supposed to be a Beta 3. But considering the time between beta releases, either the stable release is coming later or there is no beta 3 version.

I think each beta is a different set of phones. Dunno.

What's upsetting, betas are there to help fix issues before stable is rolled out. You wanted to be part of a beta but don't understand what that means. This is exactly why they close the betas

Yeah it does seem like Google is putting in a big effort with their Pixel line this year. I'm gonna make that decision after One UI 4.0 stable & the Galaxy S22 series releases.
