T-Mobile gave me $900 for my 15 pro max, apple was only going to credit $230. Did the betas with ios. Is this normal not to release OS on all the devices at the same time? IOS 27 all devices updated. Samsung only new release phones have 9 and the rest of us are on betas.
Welcome to Samsung updates in the US! Yes, it's normal. Unlike Apple, Samsung doesn't control the final distribution of updates in this country. Samsung sends their final builds to the carriers, who test them on their networks and then push them to devices. The newest devices that didn't launch with the shiny, new OS get the updates first (in this case, the S26 series), followed by the next newest, and so on. It's a wonderful, fun-filled waiting game that everyone in Samsung Land enjoys!
BONUS: Beta participants tend to get stable updates towards the end of their respective device rollouts.
In my experience, carrier-locked devices get updates before unlocked devices on the same carrier, but only by a day or two. I've never found this to be an impediment.
