To enhance the security and integrity of our Beta community forums, I propose restricting access exclusively to the Members app for all future Beta community boards. This measure is intended to mitigate unauthorized sharing of the forum's web access URL, which has unfortunately led to an influx of spam from newly created accounts originating from external platforms. Such activity has resulted in the proliferation of off-topic content, thereby diminishing the quality of discourse within the Beta forum.
I understand the concern but am not in favor of the proposed solution. I find it much more efficient to read, write, proofread, edit, and add attachments with a full monitor, keyboard, and mouse than on a phone. I suspect it would be possible to limit posting access to members enrolled in the beta or approved by moderators regardless of the platform. If not, ignoring a few extra spam posts and/or reporting them to moderators is a price I'm willing to pay for open discourse.
