unblock a notification category

Over the past few days I have not been able to receive notifications for messages from my most frequently used group.  After some digging, I found that notifications for that group have been blocked.  U don't know how I unintentionally blocked it and I can find no options to unblock it.  I've tried to research online, but find nothing.  This is a critical communication channel, and I need to know how to fix this.

Any assistance is welcome.  

I'm using a Galaxy A751 5G.   Model name:  SM-A716V.  I've had this phone for almost 3 years, and this is the first major issue I've had.  My carrier is Xfinity Mobile

Open up your Messages and then go to the Group that you are having trouble with and then tap on the dots on the upper right side of the screen, tap on Group details then navigate to the Notifications and check the settings ,

Thanks. I've done that, and the only notification option is sound.

If you tap on the messages icon you will see application info then select the notification category and then change the settings for your incoming texts
