Is there a way to clear the recent folder of the images I've moved to another folder?

When I move images from the recent folder into another folder the images appear in the other folder but they remain in the recent folder.

Is there a way to clear the recent folder Of the images i've moved to another folder. In other words if I move them why do they remain in the recent folder?

Recent folder is not actual folder/album like 'Screenshots' or 'Camera'. It's a virtual folder/album.
